Spousal Hiring Policy http://hr.unc.edu/EPA/faculty/recruitment-selection/recruitment/spousalhiring
The Faculty Spousal and Partner Hiring Assistance Program is a market driven program designed to make the university more competitive for the best talent in the tenured, tenure-track, and fixed-term faculty ranks. This program recognizes that success in recruitment and retention often depends on opportunity to facilitate appointment of an accompanying academic spouse, and the Office of the Provost will assist departments and colleges by providing matching funds in support of such appointments.
Child Care Subsidy http://hr.unc.edu/Data/SPA/benefits/workfamily/childcare/subsidy
The Child Care Financial Assistance Program, developed and funded through the Chancellor's Child Care Advisory Committee, is designed to provide financial assistance to UNC-Chapel Hill employees and students for quality child care. UNC-Chapel Hill contracts with Child Care Services Association (CCSA) to administer the program, with the Employee Services Department serving as the University's liaison to CCSA. Because funding for the program is limited, eligibility cannot guarantee assistance.

The UNC-Chapel Hill Employee Services Department is pleased to provide you with a list of UNC-Chapel Hill affiliated individuals who are interested in providing part-time and occasional child and/or elder care. Please note that the responsibility for the screening process rests solely and completely with caregivers and the person hiring them. Although we have listed skill information submitted on provider registration forms, we remind you that providers may not necessarily be trained to care for persons who have medical or psychiatric conditions requiring specialized care.
