Slightly more complicated than a linear equation is a Quadratic Equation.

A quadratic equation contains the square of the variable, say x2, for example, but no variable terms whose exponent
    is greater than 2.

The "standard form" of a quadratic equation is:

with "a", "b" and "c" representing real numbers, and "a" is not equal to zero.

Equations with this additional ("quadratic") term can no longer be solved by using just the rules of arithmetic.

In order to solve such equations, we will need to employ one of the following methods:

         1. Factoring

         2. Completing the Square

         3. The Quadratic Formula
