In this section we will focus on fractions that contain variables 
in the numerator and/or denominator.

Our main goals are combining and simplifying such fractions.

We will combine rational expressions using arithmetic (adding , 
subtracting , multiplying and dividing ), and we will simplify them
by "reducing our answer to lowest terms."

In each case,  your key to success will be your ability to factor variable expressions.
