Factoring Introduction
Explanation

Objectives

Examples

Many variable expressions can be simplified by a technique known as "factoring."

In an algebra course,  factoring refers to the process of "un-multiplying."

In this lesson we will practice some of the most useful techniques for breaking down a complicated expression into its "factored form."

Once you have mastered these techniques,  you will be able to use the factored form to make solving and graphing problems much easier to work with.
