Simply stated, the Greatest Common Factor in an expression is the largest piece that will divide evenly into each component of the original expression.

For example, 15 + 25x  can be factored as 5(3 + 5x) so we say that 
the GCF in 15 + 25x  is "5."

Similarly,  can be factored as follows
